Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily financial operations for a non-profit organization in West LA. This contract to hire position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling a mix of payables, receivables, and account reconciliation tasks. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting while working in a fast-paced business environment. Previous experience with Financial Edge is strongly preferred. This role is on-site daily.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain customer billing records, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances to support consistent cash flow.
• Reconcile bank activity against internal records and investigate discrepancies to ensure account accuracy.
• Enter and update financial transactions in QuickBooks while keeping accounting data complete and well organized.
• Review and code invoices to the appropriate accounts and departments in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with routine account reviews and provide administrative support for month-end accounting activities.
